WATCH: Savannah VOICE Festival previews 1950s time capsule show, ‘Forever Plaid’

The Savannah VOICE Festival’s first-ever Broadway show, Forever Plaid – a lively revue based on the close-harmony “guy groups,” extremely popular during the 1950s – depicts the tale of a quartet of high-school chums whose dream of recording fame ends in a fatal collision on the way to the Beatles American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show.

The musical revue begins as The Plaids return from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory. The show’s stellar cast includes festival artists Sean Christensen, Peter Lake, Nicholas Yaquinto and Scott Russell and is directed by Ashlie Timberlake, with musical direction by Justin Havard.
